Keevan L. Lewis

Keevan L. Lewis, age 57, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at his home in Liberal, Kansas. He was born September 16, 1958 in Hugoton, Kansas, the son of Hubert A. “Boots” and Olatha (Watson) Lewis.

Keevan attended School in both Ulysses and Hugoton in Special Education. Keevan was baptized at Hugoton First Christian Church on June 27, 1971. He was a client of the SDSI since December 3, 1978, which was later known as Mosaic. Keevan enjoyed music, birds and The Wizard of Oz, as well as making belts. He worked at Sonic, Mid-America Air Museum, and helped clean banks and businesses all in Liberal, Kansas.

He is survived by his sister Lonna Teeter and husband Earl of Ulysses, Kansas, nieces and nephews; Marcie Knoll and husband Kent of Moscow, Kansas, Jason Teeter and wife Jacque of Hugoton, Kansas, Jola Taylor of San Diego, California, Megan Meile and husband Nathan of Wamego, Kansas, April Leal and husband Travis of Odem, Texas, and families.

Keevan is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larson Lewis.

Funeral service will be Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Moscow United Methodist Church in Moscow, Kansas with Patty Lahey and Nathan Meile officiating. Interment will follow at Hugoton Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to Mosaic, Liberal, Kansas or Moscow United Methodist Church both in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave. Ulysses, Kansas 67880.
