Judith D. (Judy) Reed-Zeller

MEADE – Judith D. (Judy) Reed-Zeller, age 54, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 5, 2018, at Wesley Woodlawn, Wichita, Kansas.

 

She was born July 23, 1963, at Springdale, Arkansas, the daughter of Robert W. and Louise A. (Pellisier) Reed.  As a young girl she attended grade school in Springdale.  She later attended middle school and high school at St. George, Kansas, graduating in 1981. A resident of Meade since 2000, she was a loan secretary for Meade State Bank.

 

She was a member of the Meade Chamber of Commerce, serving as secretary, assisted with the wine social, and a member of the 5:01 Book Club.  She enjoyed the University of Arkansas Razorback athletics, spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her husband, David Zeller of Meade; a daughter, Kirsten Prusik of Amarillo, Texas; two sons, Tyler Zeller of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Corey Zeller of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two brothers, Olen Reed of Smithville, Missouri, and Joe Reed of Elwood, Kansas; a sister, Angie Reed of St. George, Kansas; and five grandchildren, Deringer DeNoyer, Bristol DeNoyer, Adalei Zeller, Mirabella Zeller, and Hudson Chambless.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church, Meade.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.  Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Wamego City Cemetery, Wamego, Kansas.

 

In lieu of flowers the family would welcome memorials to the Judy Reed Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
