Jorge Almeida, age 69, died April 6, 2021 at the University Medical Center of El Paso in El Paso, Texas.
He was born April 24, 1951 the son of Gilberto and Maria Ponce de Leon Almeida in Mexico.
Jorge studied in Mexico City.
He worked at National Beef Packing Co. for 17 years and owned Video-Mex Almeida & Almeida Imports. Jorge worked hard to provide for his family. He was a man with a heart of gold, he loved his family and friends that became family. He enjoyed having long conversations and drinking coffee. He loved talking to his grandchildren about cars, motorcycles and telling stories of back in the day. He also loved listening to music, dancing and having an occasional shot of tequila. His business required him to travel from Mexico to Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Amalia Cruz Almeida

Jorge was preceded in death by his father Gilberto Almeida Rascon, brother Gilberto Almeida Ponce de Leon, Nephew Eduardo Almeida Rodriguez, Great Granddaughter Penelope Gonzales
Rosary will be at 7:00 PM Thursday, April 22, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 1510 N. Calhoun Avenue Liberal, Kansas.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Friday, April 23, 2021 at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church
Interment will follow at the Restlawn Cemetery Liberal, Kansas
