John M Roberts age 70 passed quietly at his home in Meade on November 29, 2025.

John was born on November 22, 1955 in Cottage Grove, Oregon, the son of Amon M (Cotton) Roberts and Isola A Roberts of Meade. He attended school in Meade and worked for many years in the oil field in and around Meade and surrounding states.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tom Roberts and Terry Roberts both of Meade; a sister-in-law Bea Roberts of Meade; and two son-in-laws, Christopher Albrecht and Bert (Stubby) Cook.

He is survived by his brother Bill Roberts and wife Bonita (Bunny) of Granbury, TX; two Daughters Tanya Cook of Plains, KS, Corie Albrecht of Mason City, IA; five grandchildren, Jerry Wayne Carter lII and wife Trudy of Dodge City, KS, Robert Amon Carter and wife Jenna of Grapevine, TX, Chyanne Meyers and husband Keaton of Lubbock, TX, Hannah Mae Schultze and husband Derek of Mason City, IA,  Mason Albrecht of Mason City, IA; three great-grandchildren Amberlynn Peach, Kolter John Carter, and Brixen Boone Meyers; sister-in-law Lola Roberts of Meade; nephews Chris Roberts, Kaelan Roberts and Christopher Roberts; maternal aunt June Whisenhunt and husband Olin of Englewood, KS.  He is also survived by his long time companion, Michelle Stoll of Meade; numerous cousins in Arkansas and cousins from the Graves and Ward families from Englewood; and a large circle friends in Honokaa, HI, where he worked for many years drilling wells for Water Resources International Inc.

Internment will be in the Englewood cemetery. Aloha E ho’omaha me ka maluhia ( Rest in Peace).  A celebration of John’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Meade Library community room.  The family has requested that you dress casually.  Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, has been entrusted with services.
