Come help us celebrate the life of John G. Greer, Jr.

John Galen Greer, 74, of Liberal, passed away on June 24, 2022 in Liberal, Kansas, the son born to Jack and Margaret Greer on September 10, 1947.

John grew up in Selkirk, Kansas. He attended grade school in Selkirk, Kansas and attended Leoti High School. Upon graduation he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1965-1969. On completion of service, he was united in marriage to Patricia K. Fehrenbach June 7, 1969 in Oakley, Kansas and recently celebrated their 53 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Tammy, Jason, and Jonna.

John started his life long career traveling the highway for 52 years employed by National Carriers.

John has always enjoyed living and celebrating his goals and dreams of life. An outstanding person and friend to many.

John was preceded in death by his parents & grandparents; sister, Mary Powers of Fort Atkin, Minnesota, and younger brother, Shane Greer of Kansas City, Missouri.

He is survived by wife Pat Greer; two daughters Tammy Liby of Sharon Springs, Kansas and Jonna Greer of Greensboro, North Carolina; son Jason Greer (Rocky) of Wichita, Kansas; 13 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Devon, Destiny, David, Justyn, Bryton, Sammy, Cody, Cheyenne, McKinley, Trey, Drew and Mason; eight great-grandchildren, Alexa, Jae, Eevon, Addison, Wayland, Killian, Ph’Aro and Dani, also many nieces and nephews.

A Rosary Service will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal on Thursday July 14, 2022 at 7:00pm.

A Memorial Service will held at 10:30 am on Friday July 15, 2022 at the St. Anthony of Padua Church in Liberal.

In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Greer Memorial Fund in Care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, Kansas 67905-0826

Memorial contributions may be given to Miller Mortuary or St. Anthony’s Church to be donated to a charity of family choice at a later date.
