James Roll (Jim) Olinger

James Roll (Jim) Olinger, 67, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Stevens County Hospital, KS.

The son of Charles F. Olinger and Edna Dorothy (Palmer) Olinger.  He was born December 17, 1952 at Lamar, Colorado. He graduated from Hugoton High School and went to college at Colby Community College, Dodge City Community College and Ft. Hays State. Jim graduated with a bachelor’s degree of Sociology.

He moved home to help run the family farm in Stevens County and later worked for Seaboard Farms at a feed mill for 20 years.

Jim was a member of the First Church of God, Hugoton.

Survivors include brothers, John Olinger and wife Karen, Clifton, Idaho, Alfred Olinger and wife Kim, Montezuma, KS., Robert Olinger, Guymon, OK.; 4 nieces, 8 nephews; many great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial has been established for the First Church of God.  Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 10 am at the First Church of God, Hugoton, KS with Pastor Israel Franco presiding. Burial will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, KS.

Friends may call on Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton. The family will be present to greet friends from 6 pm to 8 pm.
