Jack N. Lindeman, 91, died May 17, 2022 at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on January 17, 1931 in Garden City, the son of Walter Fred and Helen Louise (Jacobs) Lindeman.
Jack spent his childhood in Sublette, graduating from Sublette High School in 1949. After graduation, Jack served in the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged in 1955, he went to work on a ranch where he did everything from bookkeeping to working cattle.
He then returned to Sublette and went to work at the Sublette Drug Store for R.F. Lee in the pharmacy. Jack took his pharmacy exam and became a licensed pharmacist in the late 1950’s. Jack bought the pharmacy in Texhoma, Oklahoma. He later moved and worked at the pharmacy in Boise City, Oklahoma where he then retired. Jack married Phyllis Percifield in November of 1982. They moved to Tonkawa, Oklahoma in 2012 to be closer to family. Jack enjoyed gardening and camping at the lake.
He is survived by seven children, Gregg Lindeman and wife Linda of Manhattan, Linda Fullerton and husband Bruce of Satanta, Tonia Comer of Liberal, Wydene Terrell and husband Howard of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Julia (Jude) Houdyshell of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Sharel Butterfield and husband Terry of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, and Keenan Comer of Tonkawa; 10 grandchildren, Wendy Herman, Codey Lindeman (Laci), Brandon Lindeman (Ashley), Shaylin Baker (Michael), Braxton Fullerton, Derek Fullerton (Courtney), Jacki Terrell, Kristen Havens, Samantha Comer, and Marenia Barrows (Tyler); and 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis; and a brother, Gerald Lindeman.
A Celebration of Jack’s life will be held at Sublette Christian Church on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 10:30 AM with Pastor David Erwin presiding. Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette with military honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard and American Legion 8th District Honor Guard. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Sublette on Friday, May 27, 2022 from noon 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Sublette American Legion in care of the funeral home.
