Herbert Lee “Chigger” Bell, 51, of Liberal, passed away on Monday, July
5, 2021 in Liberal, KS.
He was born on August 20, 1969 to Etna and Janice (Banister) Bell at
Liberal, KS.
On October 9, 2016 he married Charlie Osborn at Las Vegas, NV.; she
survives.
Chigger was a graduate of Liberal High School; class of 1987. He then
attended Liberal Area Vocational Technical School where he earned his
Welding Certification. He worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at Seaboard
since 2016. Chigger had previously worked with National Beef for 26
years. Chigger enjoyed racing, cooking, helping others, drawing, and
mentoring his staff at work.
Chigger is also survived by his Son, Brady Bell of Liberal, KS;
Grandson, Braxton; Three Brothers, Max Bell and wife Teri of Fairview,
UT, Patrick Bell and wife Ann of Liberal, KS, Chris Bell of Liberal, KS;
several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no public viewing.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, 11:00 am at the St
Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal. A Rosary Service will be
held at 10:30 am before the Funeral Mass.
Burial will take place in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Liberal Area Rape Crisis Center in care
of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
