Hector Romero

Hector Romero, 47, died Saturday, August 1, 2020 at his home in Liberal, Kansas.
He was born December 13, 1972 in Mexico, the son of Edmundo and Cristina Estrada Romero.

Hector attended Southwestern Heights High School in Kismit, Kansas. He also worked for USD 480 as a janitor.

He is survived by his parents, Edmundo and Cristina Romero of Liberal, Kansas; brothers, Javier (Bobbie) Romero of Port Angeles, Washington, Ricardo Romero and Ruben Romero, both of Liberal, Kansas; and sister, Marisela (Randy) Nordyke also of Liberal, Kansas.

Hector is preceded in death by his brother, Roger Romero; grand – niece, Temprince Romero; grandparents, Ricardo and Natividad Estrada, Angel and Hilaria Romero; aunts, Carolina Visquera and Laura Ramirez; uncle, Arturo Estrada; and cousins, Rafael Loya and Shelia Loya.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, in Liberal, Kansas. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 12:00 PM at the Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church, 122 W. Wilson, in Liberal, Kansas. Burial to follow services at the Liberal Cemetery, 1900 W. 15th Street.
