Guy was born April 30, 1951, in Syracuse, KS, to Guy Keith “Tuff” Bitner and Eva Jean Wilkerson and passed away on November 25, 2024, at Stanton County Hospital in Johnson, KS, at the age of 73. Per Guy’s request, there will be no services.
Guy spent his early years in Walsh, CO. He moved with his mother to Manter, KS, as a young boy and attended elementary school there. He graduated from Johnson High School in 1969. He then attended Oklahoma Panhandle State College of Agriculture and Applied Science (now Oklahoma Panhandle State University).
Guy spent most of his years in Southwest Kansas and Southeast Colorado. He settled in Walsh, CO, where he married Deloris June Casey in 1972. They were blessed with a son, Tandy Lyle, on June 25, 1974.
The best time of his life was when he was rodeoing- bull riding and team roping. He also loved horse races. His love of work was in ranching and farming. He managed multiple large feedyards with his Father, Tuff, and uncles, Lynn Bitner and Kip Bitner.
Guy is preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother, Kim. Guy is survived by his son, Tandy (Kelli) Bitner and two grandchildren, Dixie Blair Bitner and Knox Lyle Bitner all of Wiley, CO. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
