Gabriel Martinez Jr.

Gabriel Martinez Jr., age 77, died on Monday, October 4, 2021, at his residence in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on August 15, 1944, the son of Gabriel Martinez Sr. and Eva (Saldivar) Martinez in Georgia West, Texas.

Gabriel married Micaela Jasso in Liberal Kansas. He was the father of five daughters, Elisa, Hilda, Michelle, Leslie, and Gabrielle. Gabriel worked in oil and gas industry as an oil field worker. He enjoyed walking and exercising.

Gabriel spent his time gardening and took great pride in maintaining his award-winning yard.

Survived by his wife, Micaela Martinez of Liberal, Kansas

Hilda Diffin and her husband, Tim of Gladwin, Michigan

Michelle Castro and her husband, Pastor of Tucson, Arizona

Leslie Munoz of Liberal, Kansas

Gabrielle Trevino and her husband, Jessie of Kansas City, Kansas

Brothers, Adan Moreno of San Antonio, Texas and Francisco Moreno of Lubbock, Texas

Sisters, Juanita Garza of Ulysses, Kansas and Celia Martinez Guerrero of Fort Collins, Colorado

17 Grandchildren and 35 Great Grandchildren

Preceded in death by both his parents, Gabriel and Eva Martinez, Great Granddaughter, Alessandra Pineda and Isabelle Pineda, his brother, Crispin Martinez, and his sister Eva Dominguez.
