Freddie Patrick Yazzie Jr. 40, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at his home in Liberal.

He was born May 2, 1975 to Freddie Yazzie Sr. and Nina Holmes in Liberal.

At the time of his passing, he was engaged to Cynthia Bentura of Liberal.

He attended Liberal High School and was a graduate of Seward County Community College/Area Technical School, where he received a Criminal Justice degree.

He worked with the Sanitation Dept. of Liberal for nine years before going to work with Seward County in 2014 where he also worked in Sanitation.

He enjoyed working on cars, hanging out with friends and family.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Nina Holmes and Larry C. McCann, Liberal; three daughters: Aaliyah Michell Yazzie , Alaysia Aponi Yazzie, and Alize Kristine Hickey, Liberal; son, Alucard Naabaahii Yazzie, Liberal; three brothers: Adrian Donnel McCann, Liberal, Anthony Martinez, Liberal and Christopher Mark McCann, Lorton, Va.; six sisters: Angela Kay Yazzie, Liberal, Charity Dawn Martinez, Liberal, Tabitha Heather Gonzales, Perryton, Texas, Joycelyn Wilson, Liberal, Stephanie McCann, Liberal, and Kimberly Moore, Liberal; and many nieces and bephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

• Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday May 29, 2015 at the Central Christian Church with Pastor Alton Hyde and Larry McCann presiding.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. on Thursday May 28, 2015 at Miller Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Freddie Yazzie Jr. Children Memorial fund in care of Miller Mortuary.
