Frank Lee Humble

Frank Lee Humble, 84, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away May 9, 2014 at BSA Hospice in Amarillo, Texas.

Frank was born August 28, 1929 on the family farm near Hooker, Oklahoma, the son of John Fred and Cordia Lee Parsons Humble. He attended school in Hooker and then went with his family to Wellington, Kansas in 1941 until 1947 when he returned to Hooker to farm with his uncle Frank. He worked for a short time at the John Deere implement in Hooker and then began working for Hougton Plains. In 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953, Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his service he returned to Hooker and then went to southeastern Oklahoma where he ranched for six year.

August 1, 1966 he was united in marriage to Margie Marie Milligan Richardson in Woodward, Oklahoma. They sold their ranch and moved to Tulia, Texas where Frank began business with his cousin in Aero Spraying. They moved to Stratford, Texas where he ran a feed and aero spraying business. Sometime later they moved to Nebraska and in 1971 back to Hooker. Margie passed away June 22, 2008. Frank was a member of the VFW, American Legion, NRA, enjoyed reading and watching sports. He enjoyed all types of Western movies especially John Wayne movies.

He proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Margie, two sisters, Donna Lou Schweiger and Madgealeen Burgess

Survivors include his brother, John and Ann Humble of Hooker, Oklahoma; two nieces, Terri and Destry Anderson of Washington, Tammi and Hilton Ishimoto of Cottonwood, Arizona; one nephew, John A. and Leray Humble of Hooker, Oklahoma; step niece, Kathy and Jeff Herald of Hooker, Oklahoma; great nephews, Ryan and Alixis Humble, Tyler and Sharise Humble.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Hooker Cemetery with Rev. Les Bussell officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the Hooker Library and may be left at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.
