Evelyn Maxine Harris, 82, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at her home in Liberal, KS.

She was born on July 14, 1937 to Leslie and Lois (Andrew) Pierson at Faucett, MO.

She married Raymond Owens in 1952 at St. Joseph, MO; they later divorced and he preceded her in death.

On February 11, 1983 she married Howard Harris at Liberal, KS; he preceded her in death on July 7, 2006.

Evelyn attended school at Willow Brook in Faucett, MO. She played Volleyball and Basketball at Faucet High School. She
had worked as a CMA for 10 years at Liberal Good Samaritan Center where she loved caring for their residents. She enjoyed playing BINGO, listening to country music, watching the Golden Girls & The Young & The Restless. While she was sometimes a bit stubborn, she had the biggest heart and was always there for those that she loved! She was a member of the South Church of God.

Evelyn is survived her Granddaughter, Jennifer Smith and husband Thomas of Liberal, KS; Two Sons, Steven Owens and wife Lisa of St. Joseph, Mo, Michael Owens of Liberal, KS; Two Daughters, Sherri Hightower and husband Carl of Liberal, KS, Susan Foster of Beloit, KS; Brother, Charles Pierson and wife Henrietta of Denver, CO; Four Sisters, Beverly Powers of Missler, KS, Nancy Davis of Tulsa, OK, Virginia Stohler of Denver, Co, and Lola Roberts of Meade, KS; 14 Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren, 22 Great-Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces & Nephews.

She was also preceded in death by Son, Terry Owens, Sister, Shirley Schields, Two Grandsons, James Dozier and Robert Owens

There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Graveside Service will 10:30 am Friday, June 19, 2020, at the Liberal City Cemetery, with Rev. William Williams officiating,
