Eva “Joyce” Rairdon, age 88, died Friday, February 21, 2020, in Satanta, Kansas.
She was born February 20, 1932 in Gueda Springs, Kansas the daughter of Abraham and Ann (Bower) Shurtz
She graduated from High School in Arkansas City, Kansas in 1948
Joyce married C. L. Rairdon December 14, 1948 in Arkansas City, Kansas they were married for 61 years until his death in 2009.
She worked as a care giver at SDSI, Head Start, and CNA.
Joyce was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Liberal, Kansas.
Survivors include:
Sons; Tom Rairdon of Austin, Texas
Daughters; Sherry Smith and Rusty Smith both of Merino, Colorado.
Grandchildren; Mickey Watson, Jenny Blair, Tom Rairdon, Jr., James Rairdon, Dallas Rairdon, Shawn Baker, Terry Rairdon, Chris Rairdon, Cody Smith.
Great Grandchildren; Noah, Ben, Anni, Jack, Emmi Rairdon, Kelsey Webb, Kristy Blair, Ty Blair, Seth Watson, Tyler Rairdon, Abigail Rairdon, Choice Baker, Alexes Baker.
Great Great-grandmother of Haizlynn Rivera and Jaxon Webb.
Joyce was preceded in death by Her Parents, Husband C.L. Rairdon, Son Larry Charles Rairdon, Brother Gene Shurtz, Sister Evelyn Notestine, Nephew Leon Shurtz.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, February 23, 2020 at The Brenneman-Hornung Family Chapel, 1212 West 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas 67901. The family will be present to receive friends.
Funeral Services Monday, February 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 1200 West 11th Street, Liberal, Kansas 67901. Pastor Andrew Wehling presiding. Interment will be in the Liberal, Cemetery
