Eugene D. Moore, 95, passed from this life Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Beaver County Nursing Home, Beaver, OK.

He was born January 8, 1920 to John and Ruby (Depping) Moore at Midway Farm near Floris, OK.

He married Laura Wiens on September 6, 1941. She preceded him in death in 2008.

He was a graduate of Greenough High School. He farmed the Midway Farm which was situated midway between Beaver, OK and Liberal, KS where he grew up. He often recalled the travelers who would stop and camp for the evening on their journey between the towns. He and Laura established their farm a few miles north of the old homestead where they raised their three sons.

In addition to farming and ranching, he worked several years as an equipment operator for Beaver County and also as an inspector at Beech Aircraft in Liberal, KS.

He was an active member of Bethel Church of God for almost 70 years. He was a member of Gideon’s International, Liberal Camp for several years.

He is survived by one son Billy Moore and wife Lin of Forgan, OK, daughter-in-law Barbara Perkins and husband Kirby of Liberal, KS, grandchildren Kerri Brisendine and husband Steve of Mission, KS, Kimberly Roberts and husband Ross of Scott City, KS, Chantel Whitfill and husband Vince of Canyon, TX, Clinton Moore and wife Lisa of Molina, CO, and Bianca Cameron of Colorado Springs, CO. Great Grandchildren Kristina, Benjamin and Caitlin Brisendine, Spencer Roberts, Jordan and Dylan Whitfill, Hannah, Kylie, Carmela, Dani and Marli Moore, Elena Brier.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother Jefferson and sons Cleve and Ronnie.

Visitation will be 1:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Miller Mortuary with the family present to receive friends from 5:00pm -7:00pm.

Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Friday, January 16, 2015 at Bethel Church of God, Rev. Stan Lehnert Presiding.

Burial will follow at the Turpin Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Beaver County Nursing Home or Gideon’s International.
