Eric S. Zimmerman, age 43, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 15, 2015, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.

He was born October 26, 1972, at Midwest City, Oklahoma, the son of Steven C. and Cheryl A. (Dewell) Zimmerman. As a young boy he attended the Fowler school system, graduating from Fowler High School in 1992. He later attended the Goodland Vo-Tech, receiving training as a electronics technician. After his schooling, he returned to Fowler and worked for Key Print Office Equipment as a service manager.

He was a member of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, a twenty-year member of the Fowler Fire Department, the National Rifle Association, and the Circle of Hope. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auto racing, problem solving, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by:
His mother, Cheryl Knott and husband Larry of Fowler, Kansas

His father, Steve Zimmerman and wife Janet of Dodge City, Kansas

A sister, Jennifer Lindsay and husband Kraig of Bucklin, Kansas

Maternal grandmother, Marilyn Dewell of Fowler, Kansas
Paternal grandfather, Ed and wife Dorothy Zimmerman of Citrus Heights, California

Stepsisters, Megan Knott of El Dorado, Kansas
Jena Johnson of Scott City, Kansas

Stepbrother, Brandon Knott and wife Tanya of Meade, Kansas

Nephews, Jaron and Karter Lindsay
Step-nephew, Tyson Knott

Step-niece, Kinley Knott

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Bill Dewell and paternal grandmother, Dolly Craig.

Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Fowler. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the church. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Interment will follow in the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler.

The family would welcome memorials to the Fowler Fire Department, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, or the Circle of Hope in care of the funeral home.
