Elizabeth “Dora” Ann Chance, 70, of Liberal, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at her home.
She was born on July 28, 1953 to David and Edith (Williams) Thomasson at Hobbs, NM.
On November 17, 1995 she married Mark Chance at Liberal, KS.
Dora worked as a Vice President for Mortgages Unlimited. She enjoyed scrapbooking, baking, and cake decorating but most of all, she loved being with her family and grandkids.
Dora is survived by her loving husband Mark, Son, Jeremy Meeks and wife Angela of Ponca City, OK; Stepdaughter, Misti Ortiz and husband Alfonzo of Mustang, OK; Sister, Wilda Moon of Tucson, AZ; Two Brothers, Donald Thomasson of Hobbs, NM, Dean Thomasson of Grapeland, TX; Two Granddaughters, Lillianna Ortiz, Jayla Warren; Four Grandsons, Alexander Ortiz, Isaiah Ortiz, Dominic Ortiz, Jared Meeks.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, Kansas. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 20, 2023, at the Miller Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Chuck Scroggs, officiating. Burial will take place in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
