E. Juanita (Mangels) Hershey

E. Juanita (Mangels) Hershey , 96, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at Southwest Medical Center , in Liberal.
She was born June 20, 1916, at Plevna, Kansas , to Chester and Mary (Nusser) Mangels.
She graduated from Rolla High School in 1934. She was a teacher at country schools in Morton and Stevens County . She was a member of First Baptist Church in Elkhart , where she served as church secretary and Sunday School Superintendent. She was also a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church , in Liberal, and Gideons International.
She married Wayne D. Hershey, on April 20, 1940, in Guymon , OK . He preceded her in death on March 25, 1997.
Survivors include:
1 Daughter – Lora Lou Hershey-Martin and husband Larry of Liberal.
1 Granddaughter – LuWanna V. Hershey of Boston , MA .
1 Brother – Darrell Mangels and wife Joan, of Hutchinson , KS .
She was preceded in death by 3 Brothers, Harold, Vernon , and Don Mangels.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sat., November 10, at First Baptist Church in Elkhart , with Bro.Wyatt Carpenter and Dr. Jack Jacob, officiating. Burial will follow at Rolla Cemetery , in Rolla , KS .
Visitation Time will be 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel, Liberal. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
