Douglas Kreston Beohler, age 40, of Ulysses, Kansas, died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in Finney County, Kansas. He was born May 30, 1983, in Ulysses, Kansas, the son of Douglas John Beohler and Mona (Trotman) Beohler.

Kreston grew up in Ulysses, Kansas, Denver, Colorado, and Tampa, Florida. As a child, he was dedicated in the Christian Church and later baptized in Florida. He spent most of his years living in Florida. After living in St. Louis, Missouri, he lived the last three years in Ulysses. He had worked as a foreman maintaining railroad tracks for Cimarron Valley Railroad; and had recently got his Commercial Drivers License and was to start driving for Mast Trucking. Kreston loved his family, especially his brothers and spending time with them. One of their favorite things was gaming with each other. He also loved his music, the ocean, spending time at the beach, camping, hiking, and biking.

Kreston is survived by his son, Triston Elkin-Beohler; mother, Mona Giesaking and significant other, Paul Fort of Ulysses; father, Douglas Beohler and wife, Kim of Concord, North Carolina; brothers, Blake Beohler and significant other, Marissa Cain, of Tennessee, Grant Beohler of Wichita, Max Giesaking of El Dorado, Levi Giesaking of Garden City, and Andrew Beohler of Concord, North Carolina; sister, Anna Beohler of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandmother, Barbara Trotman of Ulysses; many uncles, aunts, and cousins; and his beloved dog, Kuma.

Kreston is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank “Papa” Trotman and Douglas F. and JoAn Beohler.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses with Reverend Casey Chapman officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Louis Dream Center or Compass Behavior Health in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W.
