Dorothy Velasquez Millen, 84-year-old longtime Liberal KS resident passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society in Liberal, KS. She was born on October 28, 1941, in Mosquero, NM to Alfonso and Mary (Fuentes) Velasquez and attended school in Liberal, KS.
Dorothy loved playing Bingo and going to the casino, but it was her grandchildren that she loved the most. Before retirement, she enjoyed working at the Petroleum Club, Elks Lodge, and as a paraprofessional in the Liberal school system. She was also a faithful member of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Viola, and her brother, Raymond.
Dorothy is survived by daughters, Debbie Furr, Mark Kneeland, and Mona Riddle and husband Brian; Grandchildren, Shane, Sean, Shanna, Justin, Jordan, Jandi, Josh, Nicole, and Crystal; 16 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings, Irene, Shirley, Maxine, Tommy, Bobby, Abel, and Joe; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends from throughout her life.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, OK.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal, KS (1510 N Calhoun Ave). Interment to follow at Liberal Cemetery.
