Dora J. Kyger

A tragic accident has taken the life of Dora J. Kyger. Mrs. Kyger passed from this life Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the age of 56. Dora had been a Hugoton resident for 41 years. Dora was the oldest twin daughter of Sabas V. Cerecero and the late Elizabeth M. Cerecero. Dora and her twin sister were born February 15, 1959 in Sterling, Colorado on January 18, 2013. Dora was happily married to Dennis Kyger in Elkhart, Kansas. Dora’s passion in life was family. She loved spending time with her husband and her daughter’s family. She and Dennis traveled the country visiting relatives and friends. When Dora wasn’t traveling or working at the Hugoton Schools, she was with her granddaughters and other family members. She was a Jehovah’s Witness.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Kyger of Hugoton, Kansas; father, Sabas V. Cerecero of Hugoton, Kansas; daughter, Nikita Olomon and husband Tyler of Perryton, Texas; granddaughters, Elizabeth, Lily and Aubrey of Perryton, Texas; three brothers, Jimmie Cerecero of Hugoton, Kansas, Claudio Cerecero and wife Judy of Hugoton, Kansas, and Sabas Cerecero, Jr. and wife Lila of Park City, Kansas; twin sister, Flora Estrada of Hugoton, Kansas; sister-in-law, Margarita Cerecero, wife of the late Adam “Amos” Cerecero; and her countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Those preceding Dora in death are her mother Elizabeth Cerecero; her brother Adam “Amos” Cerecero; her maternal grandparents; and her paternal grandparents.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton, Kansas. Condolences may be sent to the family in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 423 S. Main, Hugoton, KS 67951.
