Donna Kane

Donna J. Kane, age 71, passed away early Saturday morning, June 17, 2023, at the Fowler Residential Care Center, Fowler, Kansas.

She was born November 2, 1951, the daughter of Gene and Dora (Conley) Wilson. As a young girl, she attended school in Meade, graduating from Meade High School in 1969. She later received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Dodge City Community College in 2004. A longtime resident of Meade, she was a registered nurse.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.

On March 24, 1973, she married Gary Dean Kane at Meade. He precedes her in death on April 1, 2006.

She is survived by a son, Skyler Kane and wife Tamara of Maple Grove, Minnesota; a daughter, Jennifer Fuentes of Denver, Colorado; three grandchildren, Allison, Madison, and Jacob Fuentes; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; a son, Robert Kane; her parents; and sister, Glena Gibbs.

Private family services will be held at a later date. In accordance to her wishes, cremation has taken place.

The family would welcome memorials to the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
