Donald Earl Holt, 90, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.

He was born June 28, 1927 in rural Seward County, KS, the son of Le Roy and Winifred (Black) Holt.

He married Phyllis Munkres January 25, 1947 at Sublette, KS. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2012.

Earl attended and was a graduate of Moscow High School in Moscow, KS; class of 1945. In the late 1950’s Earl and his family lived in Alburquerque, NM where he worked as a Real Estate Agent. In 1967 he and his family moved to Liberal where he went to work as an Operations Manager at Woods Fertilizer in Woods, KS, which became Cargill in the Agricultural Field; he retired in 1972. After he retired he went to work helping his brother in law Paul Nix. Earl enjoyed Trout fishing, hunting, camping, and woodworking. He was a member of The Gideons and a long time member of the Lone Star Friends Church.

His survivors include his Daughter- Linda Sumner of Liberal, KS; Son- Brent Holt and wife Donna of Palestine, TX; Brother- Dale Holt of Stilwell, KS; Seven Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Son- Rodney Holt; Grandson- Rick Sumner; two brothers and one sister.

There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.

A Graveside Inurnment will take place at a later date and will be announced by Miller Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Lone Star Church building Fund in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
