Denise Sue Sapp, 53, of Hugoton, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas.

The daughter of Scott Talbert and Judith Ann (Patton) Sapp, she was born on January 16, 1970, in Garden City, Kansas.

Denise and Ruben Mann were married on April 5, 1991, in Hugoton, Kansas. To this union were three boys, Calvin, Colby, and Chris.

Later Denise and Travis McCurry were united together in companionship in 2016.

She enjoyed spending time with people and most importantly her grandchildren. Denise enjoyed shopping, baking, and watching dirt track racing and Oklahoma Sooner football.

Denise was Momma Mann to many of her boys’ friends around Hugoton. Her boys were her world, and they always knew they could count on her for a fun time.

She is survived by her companion, Travis McCurry, Hugoton, KS.; three sons, Calvin Mann and wife Alicia, Rolla, KS., Colby Mann, and wife Casey Jo, Rolla, KS., Chris Mann and wife Carrie, Muskogee, OK.; daughter, Tiffini McCurry and companion Tyler McCarter, Hugoton, KS.; father, Scott Talbert and wife Chloe, Muskogee, OK.; sisters, Lori Pothuisje, Muskogee, OK., Staci Conn and husband John, Muskogee, OK.; a brother Brock Talbert, MCAlester, OK.; seven grandchildren, Izabella McCarter, CJ Regensberg, Emery McCarter, Zaedon Segura, Haisley Mann, Brinley Mann, and Kinsley McCarter; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Ann Sapp; adopted son, Eric Knox; brother-in-law, Phillip Pothuisje.

A memorial has been established for the Denise Sapp Memorial Fund. In the care of Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10 A.M. at First Christian Church, in Hugoton with Pastor Pam Peachey presiding. Burial to follow at Hugoton Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home, 314 S. Van Buren Street, Hugoton.
