Daisy Bernice (Mills) Norton, 87, passed away February 17, 2020 at the Pioneer Manor, Hugoton, Kansas.
She was born January 24, 1933 to Howard and Stella Mae (Cameron) Mills.
She and Lenard Norton were married May 8, 1951, Latimer County, Oklahoma. To this union were five children, Lynne, Larry, Vicki, John, and Linda. Lenard preceded her in death, October 13, 2013.
She enjoyed crafting, teaching Sunday school at the church, stitch and chat club. She liked to sew and grow a garden. Bernice canned food and cooked from scratch. She babysat every grandchild and great grandchildren, she was known as Nama.
Survivors include sons, Larry Norton, Moscow, KS., John Norton and wife Luly, Liberal, KS.; daughters, Lynne Fink and husband Mike, Moscow, KS., Vicki Gaskill and husband Glen, Hugoton, KS., Linda Shaddix and husband, John, Moscow, KS.; brother, Pete Mills, Wilburton, OK.; sister, Edna Dugger and husband Gary, Houston, TX.; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, Lenard Norton, brothers, Thomas Mills, Raymond Mills, Burl Mills, and Don Mills; sisters, Katherine Thomas and Sharon Davis.
A memorial has been established for Moscow United Methodist Church or Pheasant Heaven Charities. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, KS.
Viewing will be Wednesday, February 19, 2020, 2 PM to 8 PM, and Thursday, February 20, 2020, 10 AM to 8 PM, with family receiving friends 6 PM to 8 PM.
Funeral service, Friday February 21, 2020, Moscow United Methodist Church, 2:30 PM. Burial to follow at Moscow Cemetery.
