Cornelius F. Reimer

Cornelius Reimer, 87, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away February 27, 2016 at Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Kansas.

Cornelius was born September 21, 1928 on a farm west of Corn, Oklahoma; he was the son of Cornelius and Sara Bergmann Reimer. He attended country school at Greenfield Grade School then attended Corn Bible Academy graduating with the Class of 1947.

In October of 1944 he accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized December 17, 1944 at the farm pond one mile north of Corn. He was a member of the Corn Mennonite Brethren Church.

He was united in marriage to Delores Marie Wiens on October 9, 1949 in the Mennonite Brethren Church at Adams, Oklahoma. They made their home one mile west of Adams where he lived until his death.

Cornelius was a Charter Member of the Gospel of Grace Church in Hooker where he taught Sunday school, was on the hospitality committee, was church treasure and a church board member for nine years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores on April 17, 2011, his parents and six sisters, Ruby Enns, Dora Wichert, Lisbeth Enns, Helen Peters, Lillie Kliewer, and Tillie Kopper.

Cornelius is survived by three sons, Merwin and his wife Vickie of Hooker, Oklahoma, Bryan and his wife Pat of Valley Center, Kansas, LaVern and his wife Janet of Halstead, Kansas; two sister, Amy Janzen of Okeene, Oklahoma and Sara Ann and Bob Flaming of Hillsboro, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Micha, Keith, Kyle, Erin, Megan, Donna and Patricia; twenty great-grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Jacob, Emma, Mason, Harper, Hudson, Holden, Joshua, Paige, Olivia, Cassie, Caitlyn, Carlee Jane, Braedon, Greyson, Ava, Eddie, Lorenzo and Manny.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Gospel of Grace Church in Hooker, Oklahoma with Rev. Chris McFarland officiating, under the direction of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Ok.

Memorials are suggested to the Freedom Crossroads Bible Camp and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.
