Clarence C. Quint 88 died, Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.

He was born August 9, 1922 in Victoria , KS the son of Peter A. and Elizabeth (Vonlintel) Quint.

He was a 1939 graduate of Victoria High School . He had been a resident of Liberal for the past 58 years.

He served in the U.S. Army from December 1942 to January 1946. He was an Antiaircraft Gunner, serving in New Guinea and Luzon Islands . He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star and Bronze Service Arrowhead Medal.

He retired from the Kansas Department of Transportation as a construction coordinator.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Liberal VFW Post #3166.

He was a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

On October 25, 1949, he married Elvie M. Brollier in Dodge City , KS . She survives.

Donald Quint and wife Sylvia Hutchinson , KS

1 Sister Mildred Kuntch Gorham, KS

13 Grandchildren, Heather Bean, Shana Bean, Matthew Bean, Crystal Quint, Sara Quint, Molly Quint, Andrew Zimmerman, MaLain Zimmerman, Eric Zimmerman, Jamie Cook, Jason Abel, Nathan Abel and Jared Wagenseller, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great Great-Grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 Brothers Kenneth Quint, Floyd Quint and 1 Sister Mabel Dreher.

Vigil and Rosary will be 7:00 pm Monday, Feb. 28th., at Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W.2nd, Liberal, KS..

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, March 1, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. James Dieker presiding. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Visitation time will be held 2 pm – 8 pm Monday, Feb. 28th, at Brenneman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal , KS 67901 .
