Carlos L. Kilgore

Carlos L. Kilgore, 91, Liberal, KS, died Saturday April 14, 2012,
at Via Cristi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, KS.
He was born August 3, 1920 at Tyrone, OK, the son of
L. V. & Vallie Allison Kilgore.
He attended country school in Seward County school and Liberal High School. Carlos farmed for many years and later drove truck for George Winchell Trucking and for Yellow Freight Systems for fifteen years, retiring in 1990.
He was a member of the Elk Lodge #1947, Liberal, KS and
I.O.O.F Lodge, Tyrone, OK.
On December 24, 1941 he married Georgia M. Hughes at Liberal, KS,
she died October 15, 2006.
He is survived by one daughter, Karen Warden and husband Gary,
Liberal, KS; one sister, Evelean Forward and husband Charles,
Hugoton, KS; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and
three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
parents, a son Richard Kilgore January 8, 2007.
Funeral service will conducted 2:00 Thursday at First Southern
Baptist Church,
Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 11 A.M.- 8 P.M. Wednesday and 9-11 A.M. Thursday.
The family family suggests memorials to Elk Lodge #1947 in care of
the mortuary.
