Bobby Lee Austin, 79, of Liberal, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his home.

He was born on June 29, 1939 to S.W. and Lela (Fitzghue) Austin at Bastrop, LA.

On August 27, 1995 he married Patty Beshears at Tyrone, OK; she survives.

Bobby grew up in Bastrop, LA where he graduated from high school in 1957. He then attended Louisiana Tech College in Ruston, Louisiana. After college he went to work at a Paper Mill as a Pipe Fitter for seven years. After the Paper Mill he went to work as a Welder and traveled the country with his family. After 28 years as a Welder he retired in 2002. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, NFL, College Football, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Hooker Masonic Lodge and the Trinity Faith Church of Liberal.

Bobby is also survived by his Son – Steve Austin and wife Vicki of Liberal, KS; Two Stepsons – Robert Hall and wife Tamra of Perryton, TX, Ronnie Cox and wife Jessie of Dodge City, KS; Three Stepdaughters- Tammy Whitlock and husband Frank of Claremore, OK, Tammy Wright and husband Pete of Norwich, KS, Windy Kizzee and husband John of Kansas City, KS; 15 Grandchildren – Sasha and husband Jake Arganbright of Liberal, KS; Seth and wife Arlette Austin of Liberal, KS; Devin and Jason Parker-Reed of Tulsa, OK; Dustin and wife Anne Parker of Claremore, OK; Brody and wife Briana Whitlock of OK; Makayla Whitlock of Claremore, OK; Lukas Whitlock of Claremore, OK: Amber and husband Josh Lorenzen of Kinsley, KS; Kolby and wife Sadie Hall of Plainview, TX; Skyler Hall of Perryton, TX; Bailee Wright of Norwich, KS; Nick, John, Corbon and Brandon Cox of Dodge City, KS; and 11 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother – John Wesley Austin, and one grandson.

There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday November 10, 2018, at the Tyrone Oklahoma Cemetery with Pastor Rex Petty, officiating.
