Barbara Furr, 90, passed away, March 25, 2020 at the Pioneer Manor, Hugoton, Kansas.
She was the daughter of Sylvester Lawrence and Geneva May (Coleman) Olinger. She was born May 8, 1929, Stevens County, Kansas. She was lifetime resident of Stevens County, Kansas.
Barbara and Wilburt Lawrence (Bill) Furr were married December 31, 1961, at Clayton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1995.
Barbara enjoyed selling Avon, collecting porcelain dolls, holiday Barbie’s and embroidery.
Survivors include son, Terry Lynn Higgins; daughter, Teresa Snyder and husband Ken all of Hugoton; step children, Frank Furr and wife Kathleen, Hugoton, KS., Juanita Clark and husband Buddy, Rolla, KS., sister, Mary Lou Kelso, Amarillo, TX.; three grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Phillip and Darrell Higgins; step-son, Tommy Furr and brother, Donald (Don) Olinger.
A memorial has been established for Pioneer Manor and Hugoton Senior Center. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
In accordance with current CDC and Kansas Health Department of Health recommendations a private Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at 2 PM at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, KS.
Viewing will be Friday, March 27, 2020, from 10 AM to 8 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.
Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton is in charge of arrangements.
