Anthony (Tony) Riedel

Anthony (Tony) Riedel, 92, died February 26, 2020.

He was born October 19, 1927, in Yocemento, Kansas, son of Alex and Anna Riedel.

Tony was raised in Ellis, Kansas and moved to Johnson in the early 40’s.

On October 25, 1948, he married Lucille Kippes.

Tony farmed with R.H. Trostle for over 50 years, after which he retired.

He will be remembered as an accomplished carpenter, building numerous pieces of furniture for family and friends.

Survivors include daughter Teresa McGregor, daughter-in-law Rose Riedel, brothers Alex, Paul and Joe, and grandchildren Brandon, Chyna, Myriah, and Orion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lucille, son Michael, sister Mary Ann, and brothers Alvin, Richard, Ted, Alfred, Elmer, and Eugene.

A private internment is planned.

Friends may call at Tony’s home to visit with friends and family members from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday March 7.
