Amber Lynn Adams, age 36, passed away early Sunday morning, December 18, 2016, at the Minneola District Hospital, Minneola, Kansas.
 
She was born October 2, 1980, at Colorado Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Thomas M. and Debbie (Bartezko) Mantzey.  As a young girl she attended the Fowler school system, graduating from Dodge City High School.  She later attended the San Angelo State University receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in special education.  A resident of Fowler since 1994 returning in 2012, she was a special needs teacher for the Minneola School District.
 
She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, SKACD 613, was an assistant volleyball coach, and a cheerleading sponsor.  She enjoyed working in her yard, her pets, and spending time with her family, friends, and daughter Nadia.  She will be remembered as a coach, loving teacher, an amazing friend, and a spectacular mom.
 
In 2004, she married Kenneth Adams at Las Vegas, Nevada.  In 2014, the couple later divorced.
 
She is survived by:
A daughter,                                    Nadia Adams of Fowler, Kansas
 
A stepdaughter,                                    Alayna Adams of Bellevue, Nebraska
 
Her parents,                                    Tom and Debbie Mantzey of Fowler, Kansas
 
A brother,                                    Brandon Mantzey of Blue Springs, Missouri
 
Uncles,                                                Mark Bartezko and wife Dana of Fowler, Kansas
                                                Al Bartezko
 
Several nieces and nephews
 
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Fowler.  Cremation has taken place.  Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
 
In lieu of flowers the family would welcome memorials to a trust established for her daughter Nadia in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
