Najar Fans 12 in Bee Jay Win Over Angels

The Liberal Bee Jays wrapped up their Colorado portion of their road trip Friday night with a 7-4 win over the Gameday Angels.  Adrian Najar struck out 12 in seven innings of shutout ball.  He only walked two.  Liberal scored six in the first on the way to the win.

In that first inning, Isaac Webb singled and Owen May and Walker Polk walked.  River Jackson grounded out to drive home a run.  Ryota Kusumoto lined an RBI single up the middle.  Luke Rhee singled.  Derek Lukes lofted a two run home run to left center.  Neither team scored until River Jackson’s home run to center for a 7-0 lead.  The Angels scored four runs on six hit in the eighth to make it 7-4.

Gameday out-hit Liberal 11-7.  Gameday had the only error.  Colby Diduch pitched a scoreless ninth striking out the side.  River Jackson was 2-4 with two RBI’s.

Gameday is 9-11 overall and 7-8 in the Rocky Mountain League.  Liberal is 19-7 overall and 12-4 in the RMBL.  Liberal plays at Dodge City Saturday night at 7pm with the Dugout Show at 6:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
