An injury accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 9:13 am, on US Highway 56, 12 miles East of KS Highway 27 in Morton County. A 2012 Ford F 250 being driven by Isidro Boldt Enns, 50, of Dalhart Texas  was travelling East on US 56.A 2015 Toyota Avalon a pilot car for an oversize load, being driven by Sage Swaney, 38, of Mulvane Kansas  was travelling West on US 56. The Ford  went off the roadway to give room for Toyota. A tire came off the Ford  and struck the Toyota.

Swaney was received minor injuries in the accident. Boldt was injured in the accident.
