The EMS warriors welcomed Lakin and Holcomb to Liberal to host a double dual with SRMS. The Warriors defeated the Lakin Broncos (who only traveled 5 wrestlers ) 81-16 in their first dual of the year. Then the warriors took on a very disciplined and talented Holcomb Longhorns team and traded blows early. However after a Uriel Ortiz Pin at 110lbs the warriors got on a huge roll pinning 5 straight Longhorns and got 10 pins in the next 12 matches to defeat the Longhorns 72-19. Julian Orrantia (80) and Cruz Naverette (95)  both went 2-0 on the day. 7th graders Blayden Betts (115) and Jairo Martinez (180) collected their first varsity mat time and their first pins against Holcomb.
