Thursday afternoon the Eisenhower Warrior 7th Grade Basketball team traveled to Dodge City taking on the Comanche’s. The Warriors started the contest off strong, scoring the first 14 points.and led 23-8 after the half. Comanche took advantage of poor shooting by the Warriors in the third to cut the deficit 27-18.in favor of Eisenhower. The fourth quarter saw the Warriors surge back controlling the tempo finishing ahead 46-24 for their third victory.in a row.
Leading the attack for the Warriors was Christian Gonzalez Moreno with a season high 38 points. Chris Moreno scored 6 points while Matthew Robledo added 2 points. Team leaders for rebounding consisted of Christian Gonzalez and Julian Loya with 12 each, Matthew Robledo 9, and Chris Moreno with 5
The Warriors travel to Hays for a second round with the Falcons and Panthers, while playing hometime rival Seymour Rogers on Monday at SRMS.
