Last night 8th grade Lady Warriors faced Dodge City Middle last night. Starting off the night was B team. We were off to a slow start scoring only 8 points in the first half. Our offense started taking off and pulled out the win defeating the Lady Cardinals 24-8. Leading in scoring was Yuridia Gonzales with 16 points, Ashley Batista with 5 pts, Valeria Gandara 2 pts, Jeslynn Heredia 1 pt. Next was A team with another slow start. At the half Lady Warriors were winning 18-15. In the third quarter the Lady Warriors struggled to get started offensively but really picked up the defense. In the fourth quarter the Lady Warriors came alive scoring 17 points in that quarter pulling out the win 40-20. Leading in scoring was Maliyah Mullens with 10 pts, Miah Janko with 7pts, Brooklyn Short and Yazlene Martinez each with 6 pts, Devaney Carter 5 pts, Haiden Lyon 4 pts, Jeslynn Heredia 2 pts. Last night the Lady Warriors traveled to Dodge City to take on the Lady Cardinals. The Lady Warriors competed hard but came up short losing 27-23. The Lady Warriors had opportunities at the free throw line to pull ahead in the game but struggled shooting 5-19 at the line. Leading scorers for the Lady Warriors was Yarah Martinez who had 11pt and 14 rebounds, and Mia Sanchez had 10pt and 7 rebounds.
