Meade Mashes Oswego at State

Meade breezed through their 2A state opener at Manhattan with an 80-43 domination of the No. 8-seeded Oswego Indians. The 23-0 Buffaloes jumped out to a 19-5 first-quarter advantage and didn’t slow down. Meade stretched its lead to 41-22 at halftime. Oswego managed just five points in the final quarter of its season. Meade’s Randy Friesen led all players with 22 points and Oswego was led by Tag Oldham with 12 points. The Buffaloes will meet Moundridge in the second round Friday at 4:45 and Moundridge beat Inman 48-41.
