Liberal Wrestling Club Kicks Off Their Season

On Saturday, November 12, 2022, Liberal Wrestling Club traveled to Canyon, TX for the first tournament of their 2022-2023 season. Liberal took five young wrestlers, Alyvia Holcomb (D1-50 lbs.); Ian Holcomb (D2-83 lbs.); Elias Holcomb (D3-83 lbs.); Julian McDaniel-Gonzalez (Rookie D3-100 lbs.); and Landon Castilleja (Rookie D3-100 lbs.).
Coach Bill Holcomb is excited for the season. “This was a great opener for these young wrestlers to get early jitters out and learn what they need to improve on before some of our wrestlers start wrestling weekly in the heart of the season.”
McDaniel-Gonzalez placed 2nd at his very first wrestling tournament and Castilleja placed 4th.
