community sponsors.

On Sunday, February 1, 2026, 17 wrestlers from Liberal Wrestling Club traveled to
Garden City to compete at the Junior Welton. The wrestlers had some great mat time and even
got the chance to have a few exhibition matches.

“We originally thought about skipping the Junior Welton since it was the day after our
home tournament. We decided we really wanted to support Garden City’s club and made the
trip over. As a team, we are glad we made that decision,” said Coach Krista Holcomb.
