That was just what the Liberal girls needed. After a six game road losing streak, the LHS girls soccer team returned home and beat Great Bend 2-1 in overtime to improve to 2-0 at Redskin Field. Myra Moreno scored into the upper right hand corner of the south net 4:43 into overtime for the win in the cold and wind Thursday evening at Redskin Field. Guadalupe Ramirez scored Liberal’s goal in regulation at the 20:15 mark of the second half. She was later ejected for a red card. Liberal is 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the WAC. Liberal goes to Dodge City Monday.
