Liberal Wins Home Tennis Tournament

The Liberal tennis team hosted their tennis tournament Tuesday at Rowley Tennis Courts at Blue Bonnet Park.  #1 singles Kellyn Phan took 2nd, #2 singles Kaylee Velazquez took 1st, #1 doubles team Nathalie DonJuan & Kylee Hammel took 1st, and #2 doubles team Lynette Alonso & Karime Ojeda took 2nd. The Lady Red tennis team ended with 33 points and were able to take home 1st place as a team.

Coach Sergio Borjas comments:

“It’s always great to win our home tournament and be able to represent Liberal in a positive way. We saw a lot of heart and emotions from the girls today. We saw some areas we need work on and so we’ll go back and try to fine tune some things before this weekend in Great Bend.”
