Liberal Tops Wichita Heights to Begin Titan Classic

The Liberal girls soccer team won their opening game of the Wichita South Titan Classic on Tuesday. LHS beat Wichita Heights 3-2. Isabella Gutierrez found Nicole Catalan at the 38:16 mark for the lead. The Falcons tied it at the 37 minute mark. Heights took a 2-1 lead at the 8:15 mark. Abby Lopez’s transition assist to Arely Molina at the 8:21 mark. Catalan assisted Lopez for the lead. There was no scoring in the second half. Liberal is 2-1 and faces Wichita Southeast Thurday at 6pm at Wichita South.
