Liberal Softball Drops Two in Maize

The Liberal softball team ran into some tough competition in Maize on Tuesday afternoon.  Maize beat Liberal 11-0 and McPherson topped Liberal 14-0.  The Maize game went five innings with the Eagles scoring in every inning.  Liberal committed four errors behind pitcher Zoey Torres.  Madalyn McCarter had Liberal’s hit.  The game against McPherson also went five innings.  It was 3-0 until the Bullpups scored seven in the fourth.  Liberal had nine errors behind pitcher Taylor Harding.  Taylor Hardng and Miley Janko had hits in the loss.   Liberal is 4-7 and hosts Hugoton Friday at 4pm.
