A Liberal man is facing multiple felony charges stemming from allegations dating back to February 2023.
Aaron Sullenger made his first court appearance on May 14, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges filed against him.
According to court records, the charges include several counts of aggravated kidnapping, rape involving alleged sexual intercourse without consent and use of force, aggravated human trafficking involving alleged sexual gratification of a victim under the age of 14, aggravated criminal sodomy by force, aggravated indecent liberties with a child involving alleged fondling of a child between the ages of 14 and 16, aggravated sexual battery involving force or fear, and contributing to a child’s misconduct by allegedly encouraging the commission of a felony.
A scheduling conference in the case has been set for June 1 at 9:00 a.m.
If convicted on the charges, Sullenger could face a sentence ranging from 20 years to life in prison.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
