Liberal did not have a good shooting game at Great Bend.  They were 15-72 for 21 percent shooting.  They made 3-21 three pointers.  But Great Bend only shot 10-41 and committed 37 turnovers as the Lady Redskins won 49-31 Monday afternoon and evening at the Great Bend Fieldhouse.  Shamari Lewis had 16 points and 19 rebounds.  Liberal dominated the rebounding in the win.

Great Bend grabbed an early 5-0 lead.  Liberal recovered to lead 10-7 after one quarter.  LHS led 13-7 early in the second quarter before Great Bend cut the lead to 13-12.  It was tied at 16-16 but Liberal took a 23-16 lead and led 23-18 at the half.  Liberal was 9-39 from the field in the first half and GBHS was 5-18.  Liberal took a 38-20 lead before leading 38-24 after three.

The Black Hills Energy Player of the Game is Shamari Lewis with 16 points and 19 rebounds.  Rubi Alvarez , Maliyah Mullens, and Kylie Rhine scored seven a piece. Brooklyn Short scored 6.

Great Bend is 4-17 overall and 1-6 in the WAC.  Liberal is 15-3 overall and 4-2 in the WAC.  LHS has won 19 of the last 20 vs Great Bend and 8 of the last nine at Great Bend.  Liberal plays at Garden City Tuesday night at 6pm with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
