Liberal Girls Handle Heights

The Liberal Lady Redskins got back in the win column Friday night with a 70-31 win over Southwestern Heights in the Big House. Liberal out rebounded SWH 36-14 in a game which was played with a running clock in the 4th quarter.
Liberal bolted out to a 16-3 lead and led 26-10 after one quarter. LHS led 40-14 and led 40-18 at halftime. LHS claimed a 62-29 lead after three.
The Lady Red shot 50 percent and held Heights to 27 percent from the field. Liberal was 9-15 from the foul line and 5-19 from three. The Lady Mustangs were 10-19 from the foul line and 3-15 from three point range.
Shamari Lewis was the Epic Touch Player of the Game with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Hailey Contreras scored 20 points and dished four assists.
Southwestern Heights is 1-2 and plays at Meade Saturday night. Liberal is 2-1 and hosts Holcomb Saturday night at 6pm with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
