Liberal Girls Blank Emporia for First Win

The Liberal girls soccer team gained their first victory of the season Wednesday afternoon 2-0 over the Emporia Spartans in the Wichita South Titan Classic.  Ashley Carrillo scored two goals.

LHS took and early lead in the first half Sophomore Arely Molina dished a pass from the left to senior Ashley Carrillo who shot down the center.  The Redskins led 1-0 at the half.  Liberal only allowed the Spartans two shots on goal in the second half.   Carrillo scored  Liberal’s second goal in the 49th minute taking advantage of a direct kick straight to the goal.

Liberal concludes the Wichita South Titan Classic Saturday at noon against Wichita East.
