Liberal’s soccer team is surging late in the season. The Redskins beat Garden City 1-0 Tuesday night a Buffalo Stadium in Garden City for a season sweep against the Buffaloes. LHS has won five in a row. It was scoreless at halftime. In the second half, the Redskins found the back of the net with 14 minutes left on the clock with the score by Alfredo Lopez and the assist by A.J. Ramirez. Samuel Hernandez made 14 saves in the game with a crucial last second save off a free kick giving Liberal the win. The Skins are 6-2 and 3-2 in the Western Athletic Conference. The Redskins play at Hays on Thursday.
